What is ecosexy? “It’s not Eco-Friendly”, say the Urban Dictionary. “Composting toilets are Eco-Friendly, But do you want that in your house? A Mercedes that runs on solar power, made in a factory run on green electricity, by people that have considered all aspects of building that vehicle, and actively minimized it’s impact on everything . . . THAT’s EcoSexy.”

If talking about cars I would say Tesla wins the ecosexy trophy but otherwise, not bad for a start to describe the next power level of eco friendly: Green has grown up from a stubborn teenager to a fiercely creative, wildly lavish and and crazily caring adult. It is sexy to be rebellious and to direct our cash flow to businesses who offer more than goodies made of brainless greed. It is sexy to be smart and share our wealth of resources, be it minds or money.
People like Leonardo de Caprio, Jessica Alba and Olivia Wilde, Rosario Dawson and many others public figures use their names to promote eco politics and lifestyle, architects and designers create futuristic eco houses, furniture and couture, and fashion bloggers praise eco fashion’s so very improved latest style.

Of course there are some snark remarks about Ecosexy being “eco friendly gone trendy.” I take it as a compliment cause trendy promises fun. The more eco fun the better for the planet. Eco is a life STYLE, not an etiquette rule book or a religious pamphlet.

When coming up with fabulous wedding ideas the Eco mind set is a creative asset. If we let go of the rule book, flexibility is life saver No 1. As it isn’t very sexy to pull your hair or bite your nails when we’re not getting what we really, really want, we morph and switch instead: Can’t get your caterer to buy locally? Balance their food karma and have all left overs donated to a homeless shelter. Can’t find a sustainable fabrics weddings dress? Donate your couture to a less wealthy bride… it’s all about balance. We McGyver solutions when we don’t have them presented to us on a pretty platter. The eco view point makes us see more, invent more and be on our toes for unique resolves. That’s why we chose a Tango couple for our logo. Tango is a metaphor for uber sexy sensibility. When we’re are in tune with each other like dancers, our life will be amazing. If you are in tune with the planet, your wedding will have that extra glow of beautiful minds and their surprising uniqueness.

Ecosexy is to live consciously and spend your money where your heart is:

– wear amazing make up  – organic and not tested on animals

– dance in designer fashion – created by an ethical, sustainable company using creative eco materials

– eat delicious food –  of highest quality ingredients, organic, local and donate what you don’t consume

– design unique stationary – recyclable or biodegradable

– drive the luxury car – but make it a Tesla (or a zero emission chopper…)

– delve into fantastic decor – make it reusable beauty that you or others can enjoy

– enjoy gifts – and pay them forward to a charity

Every aspect of a wedding can be extraordinary – and eco.

It’s ecosexy to be fearlessly creative, to bend the rules, to reinvent tradition and to love life – the luxury of loving green will be the best you ever had.
